NRO to Rendezvous Point
Departure times between 8 am - 3 pm
7 miles...3-4 hours

Last take out time:
7:00 pm daily (Friday 6 pm)

Last take out time changes to:
6:00 pm Labor Day thru Memorial Day. All vessels must be off the water before 7:00 pm, 6:00 pm on Fridays. Late

take outs will be charged a second day rental per vessel. We have rafts for up to 6 people as well as kayaks. NRO Assures You a Fun, Exciting and Safe Trip Using the Best Equipment

Quality equipment including Osage canoes, plus rafts. We recommend 2 people per canoe plus their gear except for special cases where there is an uneven number in a group or small children are joining the excitement. Each person is equipped with a four to five foot paddle and a life jacket. Remember that land along both sides of the river is privately owned. Please stay in authorized campground areas only. Help us keep the river clean and free of litter. Trash bags are available and we do pick up all trash at the end of your trip. Absolutely no glass in canoes, rafts or kayaks.

📢 River Update – June 8, 2026

Due to the current river level, NRO Canoe Rental will not be offering float trips today, June 8, 2026.

The safety of our guests and staff is always our top priority, and river conditions are not suitable for floating at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please continue to check our page for updates on river conditions and future float availability.

Now you can check the levels anytime on our website! It's inevitable that the Midwest rains will impact our fun at times. We often have calls asking about the water levels and floating so we hope this will help keep our guests informed.

Also watch our website for alerts! High waters will sometimes impact float trips! Our staff will "make the call" day by day concerning all scheduled trips as YOUR safety is our #1 priority!
