🫶🏼At Dance Connection, we believe dance is about so much more than perfection. It’s about confidence, joy, growth, and finding a place where you can truly be yourself.

You don’t have to be perfect to belong. Just show up, give your heart, and enjoy every step of the journey. Because every step matters — and so do you.

💙Meet the DC Team for our 2026-2027 Season! We welcome back Miss Marcey teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Adult Tap/Ballet.

Marcella Carey began dancing at the age of three, and by age six, she knew she wanted to be a ballerina. Continuing through high school, she studied all forms of dance with the Doris Singer Dance Studio in Pittsburgh, joining the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet as a teen.

She attended Butler University, in Indianapolis as a Dance Major with several academic and dance scholarships, graduating with a B.A. in Dance. After graduation she was accepted directly into Indianapolis Ballet Theatre as well as Dance Kaleidoscope.

She also appeared at the Starlight Musical Theatre in Indianapolis in “Funny Girl”, “How to Succeed in Business” and several other Summer Stock productions, putting all that tap, jazz and vocal training to work, and earning her Actor’s Equity membership.

Marcella then set off for New York City and Broadway, where she landed a spot in the National Tour of “42nd Street”. Opening in LA, the company performed in every major theatre and city, throughout the US and Canada, finishing with a run at NHK Hall in Tokyo.

Back in Los Angeles, several TV appearances and movie parts earned Marcella her membership in the Screen Actor’s Guild. Following her dreams led to Las Vegas, where Marcella performed with local dance companies, and in shows on the Las Vegas Strip, including three years in the show at Harrah’s.

Throughout her performing career, Marcella continued to teach ballet, tap, and jazz classes in the many cities that she traveled to. She loves training the next generation of dancers and is now celebrating more than a decade at Dance Connection.
