One event. Three hundred applications. Thirty breakout spots.
That's a real number from my meeting planner days on the other side of the stage. And here's the part nobody tells you... Cold outreach rarely made the cut.
Not because the pitch was bad. Because we didn't know them. When you're staring down 300 applications and 30 spots, you default to the speakers you trust, the ones a colleague vouched for, the ones already in the room somehow.
