Salty air. Sandy soil. Grease. Grime. None of it is your friend and will lead to corrosion of vital components (Yes, even your brakes).

Fun Fact: The tread wall of a heavy duty tube is 4× thicker than a standard tube.

Upgrading to a heavy duty tube and adding flat out will give you the best odds against fun-killer flats!

For added protection of your sanity, carry a travel inflator. Flat out can seal up small punctures so you're not dragging your flat tire on its rim.
