Dance Performance & Dance Education from Ball State University
Lindsay began dancing at age 3 and has been involved in competitive dance since age 13. She graduated from La Porte High School and Ball State University. She was a member of the Ball State Dance Theatre and the principal dancer for the BSU Chamber choir. In addition to her formal training, Lindsay has studied with Dance Masters Mia
Michaels, Dan Karaty, Frank Hatchett, Joe Lanteri, Nick Lazzarini, and Doug Caldwell to name a few. Lindsay's choreography credits include Annie, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, and 1940's Radio Hour for local theaters as well as several dances for the LPHS Show Choir and an area competition team. Most recently, Lindsay performed as Bombalurina in CATS at Valparaiso's Memorial Opera House. Lindsay teaches Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Dance Discovery. Works In Motion Dance Company opened in November 0f 2006. Our purpose is to provide a quality dance education for people of all ages in a safe and fun environment. We will motivate creativity, nurture talent, and promote interest in culture and the arts. Our classes are taught by difficulty level, not age level, with the exception of our adult classes. In order to be in the 2014 recital, students must be enrolled in class by Session 3. Classes meet once a week for 55 minutes. Schedule is subject to change, so please call before you come for the first time.
