La Porte Indiana's Beechwood Golf Course is a championship, 18-hole golf course built in the early 1930’s as a gift from the Fox family. This fine quality, challenging course is enjoyed by golfers from throughout northern Indiana, southern Michigan and Chicago. Get registered for the next Beechwood's Couple Night on August 7th! Couples "League" is a great social event throughout the summer with Competitive and Recreational Divisions. Each event is a version of a scramble that allows both participants a low stress fun event. Each event is a new sign up so you don't have to attend each one to participate. Cocktail hour starts at 4:00 with a shotgun start at 5:00.

We’re less than 24 hours removed from the City Tournament and my lasting memories won’t necessarily be of the Championship Flight but of the Senior Division. Golf is often defined by age, distance, and skill levels. A lot has been made of how dominant Tom Wells is from the senior tees with his length, ability, and experience. He was made out to be unbeatable and unfair to be playing from that length. Yesterday was a great reminder of how perseverance and practice can win out. Mike Price at over 10 years Tom’s senior, grinded out a win in a playoff proving everyone wrong. Tom was gracious in defeat and it was a great moment in our City Tourney. A tip of the cap to all of those this weekend showing sportsmanship in the midst of intense competition.
