Praying you are all ready to enjoy some fun in the sun this summer! Volleyball dates are listed below for those excited and preparing for the 2026 season!

2026 CHAP VOLLEYBALL SUMMER SKILLS CAMP & TRYOUTS:
CAMP: June 8, 9, 10, 11 / TRYOUTS: June 12 (More details below)
*All players should wear comfortable clothing, and bring athletic shoes, knee pads and a water bottle. Players who are 8 years old can join summer camp, but will need to be 9 as of August 1, 2026 to be able to attend tryouts.

Homeschool students are invited to join us for CHAP Volleyball Summer Skills Camp in June! Whether new to the game or seasoned veterans, all girls and boys ages 8-18 are welcome to join us for four days of volleyball skill training, development, and fun!

CAMP INFORMATION:
Monday - Thursday, June 8-11 (Must be 8 as of August 1, 2026)
- 10U-14U (ages 8-14) will meet from 4:30p-6:15p
- JV/V (ages 14-18) will meet from 6:00p-8:00p
*Camp will include a joint time of devotions from 6:00p-6:15p for all players
*Please arrive a few minutes early to be ready to go when training starts!
ATTENDANCE AT THIS CAMP IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED FOR ALL WHO ARE DESIRING TO PLAY ON A CHAP VOLLEYBALL TEAM IN THE FALL! However, we understand summer is filled with family time, so please let us know by emailing [email protected] if you desire to play on a CHAP volleyball team in the fall, but are unable to attend camp.
TRYOUT & TEAM PLACEMENT INFORMATION:
Friday, June 12 (Must be 9 as of August 1, 2026)
- Women's JV/V (ages 15-18): 9:00a-11:30a
- Women's 12U/14U (ages 9-14): 1:00p-3:00p
- All Men: 4:00p-5:00p
*Players are asked to attend tryouts for their appropriate age group based on their age as of August 1, 2026, unless having played up on an older team last season, in which case they should attend tryouts for that level.
*New for 2026: For players intending to tryout for the 2026 season, there is a mandatory 30-minute parent orientation that will take place the week of camp and is required for player eligibility. Please plan to have one parent attend one of these options: Monday, June 8th at 6:00p OR Thursday, June 11th at 6:00p.
COST:
$65 per player for camp AND tryouts. This cost includes 4-days of skill building AND participation in Friday's tryout. A specially designed 2026 CHAP summer camp t-shirt is included for all camp participants who are registered by May 25! Payment will be required at the completion of registration via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Checking Account.
*NOTE: If a player is unable to attend camp, but will be attending Friday tryouts, there is no cost for Friday only - please still register through the registration link and choose the Tryout Only registration drop-down.
SET UP & TEAR DOWN:
We are always looking for parents and older players to assist in setting up nets and running tape lines. If you can help out with this task, please arrive at 3:45p or plan to stay a few minutes afterwards! We are grateful for the extra help since this task saves our program a large amount on rental fees each season.

PLANNING AHEAD FOR THE 2026 FALL SEASON:
CHAP Volleyball fall season is August, September, and October. The official practice schedule will be made after teams are set, but practice for all teams will begin on Monday, August 3rd, 2026. In August, Women's Varsity, Women's JV, and Men's JV/Varsity will practice 3 times a week - Mon, Tues, & Thurs; 12U & 14U will practice twice a week - Mon & Thurs. The practice schedule lightens a bit for September and October with games and tournaments added. The season wraps up with the MI Homeschool State Volleyball Tournament at the end of October; with CHAP hosting this key volleyball event, we hope all families are able to attend! Mark your calendars for Oct 29-31, 2026 at the Legacy Center in Brighton!
