Good news! Due to the RASL Swim Meet wrapping up earlier than expected, the Outdoor Pool will reopen today at 3 pm.

The pool will remain open until 7:30 pm, and the Snack Shack will be open until 6 pm.

Please note that there is a chance of storms this afternoon. We encourage everyone to review our Outdoor Pool weather policy before visiting to stay informed of any potential weather-related closures or delays.

🌞 As temperatures rise this week the Orion Recreation Center is here to help. We are opening our doors as a Warming/Cooling Center, offering a cool refuge in our lobby. We provide a safe, temperature-controlled environment for vulnerable populations, like the elderly, young children, and those without adequate home heating or cooling.

If you need relief from the heat, you're welcome to visit during our business hours. Stay safe and cool!

Beat the Heat at the Outdoor Pool! 😎

With these hot summer temperatures, we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable day at the pool. Here are a few friendly reminders before you head out:

• The pool deck gets very hot! We recommend wearing sandals, flip-flops, or water shoes to protect your feet.

• Shade and seating are limited. Arrive early if you'd like to grab a spot, the outdoor pool opens at 11 am.

• Stay hydrated! Concessions are available for purchase, but you're also welcome to bring your own water and snacks.
Please note: No glass containers or alcohol allowed.

• Don't forget your sun protection! Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and taking breaks in the shade can help you stay safe while enjoying the pool.

We look forward to seeing you at the pool. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy your summer!

Need a Lap Lane? We've Got You Covered!

If you're visiting the Orion Recreation Center during one of our busier swim times and are looking for a lap lane, just let one of our lifeguards know! They're happy to help clear a lane so you can get your workout in.

As a reminder, three lap lanes are available every day from 11 am until close for lap swimmers.

We're committed to making sure everyone can enjoy the pool, whether you're swimming laps, attending a program, or enjoying family swim. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask one of our lifeguards.
