🏃‍♂️⚾ LAKE CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL CONDITIONING ⚾🏃‍♂️

We’re getting ready for another exciting season of Lake City Middle School Athletics! Our Fall Conditioning Program will begin October 5th and run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through Christmas Break.

📅 When: Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday
📆 Starting: October 5th
⏰ Time: 3:45 PM – 5:00ish PM
📍 Location: Lake City Middle School

🚨 Thanksgiving Break: There will be NO conditioning during Thanksgiving Break.

👕 What to Wear:
• T-shirt
• Gym shorts
• Athletic shoes

📝 IMPORTANT: A current physical is required in order to participate in conditioning. The completed physical needs to be turned into to the front office and cleared by our AD.

Attendance at Fall Conditioning is highly recommended for any athlete planning to try out. Conditioning will help athletes prepare physically, build skills, and get ready for the upcoming season.

⚾ TRYOUTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN JANUARY!

If you’re planning on trying out, now is the time to start preparing! Come ready to work, compete, improve, and have fun. 💪

The informational meeting will take place this Friday! The meeting is during 7th period, which is the 2:42-3:32 time frame. We will meet in the cafeteria. This is for students only.

Message from Coach Brinkley:

Leadership is a quality we talk about often and Coach wanted to give a shoutout to our returning 8th grade group for their leadership during PE classes. We have had a recent turnover in PE when it comes to coaches and that has been a lot, especially when it comes to locker assignments and helping our new 7th graders learn how to open locker combinations.

Jaxson Mallard, Beckam Smithy, Trey Sappington, Noah Harden, Kayden McCloud, and Connor Hamlin all stepped in to help guide 7th graders around the locker room, showing our new students their locker assignments and help them with opening their locks. This means teaching them how to open them, which can be very tricky. I appreciate these guys so much and they immediately jumped in to help our 7th grade students and assisted Coach Brinkley.

Let’s give a huge welcome to our new assistant coach, Micah Krieghauser!

Micah is a former Falcon and graduate from Columbia High. We are excited about him joining the staff and working with our Falcons, especially our pitching staff.

Some background information about Coach Krieghauser. 👇

“Coach K,” brings a strong playing and coaching background to the Falcons. A Lake City, Florida native, he began his baseball career pitching at Lake City Middle School (LCMS) before continuing at Columbia High School and graduating in 2018. He went on to play at Toccoa Falls College, competing in the NCCAA and helping lead the team to a World Series appearance. He later played at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, competing in the NAIA Sun Conference and NAIA National Tournament, before competing at the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference level.

His playing career also included the Great Lakes League’s Ohio Copperheads and the Virginia Valley League’s Richmond Rebels. At Columbia High School, Coach K was a four-time District Champion and the No. 2-ranked 7A pitcher in Florida in 2018.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina Beaufort, Coach K is passionate about developing players through discipline, fundamentals, confidence, and a commitment to being better than you were yesterday.

Even though Coach Douglass does not have a Facebook. We would like to thank him and wish him nothing but the best as he takes over as Head Baseball Coach at Fort White High School. Coach Douglass poured a lot of time and energy into the Lake City Middle School baseball program the last three years. Congratulations Coach! We thank you!
