πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ CHS CROSS COUNTRY IS BACK! πŸ…πŸ’œπŸ’›

The Columbia High School Boys & Girls Cross Country teams traveled to Jacksonville for the Cecil Field Summer Classic, officially kicking off the 2026 XC season!

With the extreme Florida heat and this being our first race of the year, the biggest goal was getting our runners some valuable race experience and an opportunity to compete under true race conditions. There’s plenty of room to grow, but we saw some promising performances and a lot to build on!

πŸ… GIRLS RESULTS

Our girls team is smaller this season, with two runners competing in our opener, but both battled through the heat and represented CHS well!

⭐ Kiley Cannon – 29:36
⭐ Bayley Kazmierski – 33:46

A special shoutout to senior Kiley Cannon for leading the way, running her own race, and continuing to stick with XC as she begins her final season as a Tiger. We’re proud of you!

πŸ… BOYS RESULTS

⭐ Wesley Ring – 21:25 | 32nd Overall
⭐ Nicholas Nelson – 24:06 | First XC Race
⭐ Rio Nelson – 24:10 | First CHS Race
⭐ Matthias Moore – 25:53
⭐ Jordan Herring – 26:36 | First XC Race
⭐ Charlie Ripple – 26:41
⭐ Charles Rhames | First XC Race
⭐ Shon Bales – 32:14

Several of our boys competed in their very first cross-country race, and we’re excited to see what happens as they gain confidence, improve their conditioning, learn how to race the 5K distance, and continue putting in the work. There is a lot of untapped potential in this group!

NEXT UP: OUR FIRST HOME MEET!

We already have 12 teams scheduled to compete in our inaugural home XC meet! We’re excited to bring cross country to our home campus and would love to see the Tiger community come out and support our runners.

One race down. A whole season of improvement ahead. Let’s keep working, Tigers! πŸ…πŸ’œπŸ’›

The CHS Boys & Girls Track & Field team traveled to Orange Park High School on Friday to compete in the District 3A Meet.

To be honest, this was not our strongest performance of the season. We worked hard to get here, but when the moment came, it didn’t feel like we competed with the energy and focus we’re capable ofβ€”and the results reflected that. That said, we still had some athletes step up and represent the Tigers well.

πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up Finishes

* Ashya Stokes – Discus (29.27m)
* Kensi Shaw – 100m (12.65)
* Tacori Allen – 100m (11.27)

CHS Track & Field Update – Raider Invitational πŸ…πŸ’œπŸ’›

The Columbia High School boys and girls track teams traveled to SFHS on Saturday to compete in the annual Raider Invitational. This marked our first full meet of the season, and what a way to start! We saw several strong performances, a few surprises, and even some school records that have our coaches feeling very optimistic about the rest of the year.

Several athletes stepped outside their comfort zones and tried new events β€” and it paid off! The future is looking bright for CHS Track & Field. CHS Tigers Track & Field – Season Opener RecapπŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ…

The CHS Tigers boys and girls traveled to SFHS for their first meet of the 2026 track & field season! This early meet gave us a great opportunity to evaluate where we are in our training and conditioning, and it provided valuable insight into how we’ll place athletes in future meets.

This was not a full meet. Events contested included: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, Long Jump, High Jump, and Shot Put.
