I’ve been studying women in Scripture lately, and one truth continues to stand out: The influence God gives us carries both great purpose and great responsibility.

Deborah shows us the impact of obedience. Esther shows us courage in the midst of fear. Miriam reminds us to remember what God has brought us through and respond in worship. Abigail demonstrates the power of wisdom, discernment, humility, and courage. Priscilla reminds us that spiritual wisdom is meant to be shared and that investing in others requires humility, intentionality, and a willingness to help others grow in their understanding of God.

Their stories remind me that what God develops in us is not meant to stop with us.

I think about this often in softball. We may be teaching girls how to hit, field, compete, and become better athletes, but the influence we have goes far beyond the game. Every practice, lesson, and conversation is an opportunity to model courage, integrity, humility, and faith.

There is incredible impact when women intentionally pour into the next generation, helping young women know their Heavenly Father, walk in obedience, and grow into who God has called them to be.

May we be women who lead with wisdom, coach with purpose, obey with courage, walk with integrity, and faithfully pour into the women coming behind us.

Because the greatest impact we make may have very little to do with what happens on the softball field. 🤍

I love this so much. 👏

Athletes can get so frustrated during lessons or training when they fail. They begin talking down to themselves, questioning their ability, or expecting every swing, throw, or rep to be perfect.

But failure is part of the process.

We fail. We learn. We make adjustments. We fail better. Eventually, we succeed. And then there’s more work to do, another level to reach, and the cycle continues.

Our walk with God isn’t all that different.

We’re going to stumble. We’re going to get things wrong. There will be seasons when we feel like we should be further along than we are. But God never asked us to grow through our own strength or to achieve some level of perfection.

He asks us to abide.

When we stay close to Christ, He uses the process, the successes and the failures, to teach us, correct us, strengthen us, and make us more like Him.

Failure isn’t a reason to talk down to ourselves or give up. It’s an opportunity to learn, get back up, and keep walking with Him.

There will always be more growing to do. And that’s okay.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s becoming more like Christ.

What a blessing it has been to watch Ashlee grow this past year. Not only is she about a foot taller 😆, but she has grown so much mentally and athletically. It’s been a joy to be a small part of her journey.

A special shoutout to our favorite ball boy, Hunter. 🤗

As your family begins this next chapter, you’ll be greatly missed. What an impact your heart has on others! Praying God’s blessings over all He has in store for your family.

What a blessing it was to get to know the Troup High School Softball team as their Huddle Leader at FCA Camp. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to spend the week with these incredible young ladies, and I can’t wait to watch all that God has in store for them this season. Praying they continue to grow in their faith, their leadership, and the gifts He’s given each of them. Excited to cheer them on this year! 👀💛🥎

We want to extend a special thank you to Coach Parker and LaGrange Academy for providing a place for us to hold our camp this summer. Their generosity made it possible for us to continue throughout the week despite the challenges the weather brought our way.

The weather was certainly a major factor this week, but Coach Parker was there every morning, ready to help in any way he could to ensure we were prepared for each day. We are incredibly grateful for his support, hospitality, and willingness to serve our campers and staff. Thank you, Coach Parker and LaGrange Academy, for helping make this week a success!
