That’s a wrap on the 2025–2026 season for our 14U 2029s. 💜🩵🖤
Two years ago, Coach Will sat down with Coach Bill at Panera with an idea. Several athletes were looking for a fresh start, and he asked if she would build another team within Nightmare. Looking back now, that one conversation helped shape the future of this organization.
This team gave those athletes a place to call home, while also creating a path for some of Coach Bill’s original Nightmare girls to continue growing within the organization as they got older. What started as one team has grown into something so much bigger.
While Coach Bill wasn’t in the dugout every weekend, she had the privilege of running practices, helping develop these athletes, and serving as Nightmare’s recruiting coordinator. Coach Will and Coach Amber led this team day in and day out, and the impact they’ve had on these girls is impossible to measure. Thank you both for your countless hours, your belief in these athletes, and everything you’ve poured into this program.
This team is simply fun to watch. Their chemistry is contagious, their leadership is unmatched, and their grit never wavers. Win or lose, they compete with passion, pick each other up, and represent what Nightmare Fastpitch is all about. As the oldest team in our organization, they’ve set an incredible example for every younger athlete wearing a Nightmare jersey.
Their growth over the last two seasons has been incredible:
🩵 First 14U season: 13-14-2
💜 Second 14U season: 21-15
🌴 Finished the year with a 3-2 record at the World Series.
The wins are something to be proud of, but the culture, friendships, leadership, and family they’ve built along the way mean even more.
Now it’s time for the next chapter as this group moves up to 16U Gold, and we truly believe their best softball is still ahead of them.
Thank you, ladies, for trusting the process, believing in each other, and representing Nightmare with pride. We can’t wait to see what this next season has in store.
