We are climbers who design products to improve the climbing experience. https://linktr.ee/trangoclimbing We'll see you out there.

We work to share our vertical inspiration with everyone, helping climbers to test their strength, challenge their limits, and live in the ascent. At Trango, our ethos is simple: pursue what you love and encourage others as they do the same. We believe that whatever discipline you’re into and whatever ability level you’re at, you are a climber. Our company is passionate about creating innovative, solution-oriented products that help climbers pursue the sport we love. Every Trango product fills a specific need in the quiver of the modern climber. That’s why you can always count on Trango gear to deliver something extra. We are out at the crag falling in love with our next idea before we ever share it. Trango is also the US Distributor of Tenaya Climbing shoes

Jesse Grupper - Dreamcatcher 5.14d

“Dreamcatcher was first done in 2005. I was a highly energetic kid who had just found climbing and was too oblivious to pay attention to media.

But! When I did, this was one of the first routes that caught my eye. I was inspired by photos of climbers I looked up to, feet swinging on one of the most iconic climbs on the continent.

I put a lot of work into a flash attempt for it. I felt ready, but had a pretty anticlimactic fall on the start slab. No regrets trying for something hard just based on the end result. I tried again. I learned the slab. 🙃

After not flashing, I was worried sending wouldn’t feel as meaningful. But when I topped it out on my second day, I was truly psyched: I was surprised I held it together after I split a tip on the slab, cut my feet in the wrong place, and maybe got the trophy for LKA (longest known ascent)😅

Thankful for all of the people there and afar who continue to believe in me and who made this journey possible. “ - Jesse

Same job. Different priorities.

Padding, adjustability, weight, gear capacity and fit all matter differently depending on the objective. A harness optimized for projecting steep sport routes shouldn't solve the same problem as one built for glacier travel or a busy rental fleet.
