Since 1945 we've been providing kids of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds with adventure, friendship, and memories. Camp Jaycee is proud to be accredited by the American Camping Association. Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this nationally recognized organization focuses on program quality, health and safety, and requires extensive review of every facet of our operation. has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal and has earned this mark of distinction.

1. You’ll find kids of all races, religions, and national origins enjoying Camp Jaycee. There are scholarships available and easy access for children with disabilities.

2. Transportation is Included
Don’t worry about getting kids to and from camp — it’s all included! We currently offer transportation to and from Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Ranch, Encinitas, Del Cerro, Del Mar, and Carmel Valley, with more locations being added regularly.

3. Full Day Schedule
A full day of Camp Jaycee is 9:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., with additional hours available through our Extended Care program.

Camp Jaycee is a place that furthers child development, where your child’s mind will be as busy as their body! Camp Jaycee earned a 100% score on the American Camping Association accreditation, which recognizes program quality, as well as health and safety.

5. Trained, Professional People Only
Where staff is concerned, no other camp comes close to Camp Jaycee. Our highly qualified staff are trained in group dynamics, creative programming, first aid, and much more. In addition, Camp Jaycee has one of the best (lowest) camper-to-staff ratios in San Diego.

6. Safety First, and Always
Our staff is not only trained in delivering fun, engaging, and edifying activities to kids of all ages, they’re also safety experts! CPR-trained lifeguards and camp staff, along with our low staff-to-camper ratio, ensure Camp Jaycee is enjoyable and safe. Additionally, the JCC is located next door to the Northern Division of the San Diego Police and Fire Department.

Everything a kid needs to have fun indoors AND out! Take advantage of the world-class JCC facilities, including the Olympic-sized pool, the 500-seat theatre, the dance studio, the science lab, the sports fields, tennis courts, and more.

8. Discover Endless Activities for All Ages and Interests
We have engaging, educational, and flat-out fun activities for every child: arts and crafts, ceramics, Zumba dance, a “School of Rock,” fencing, leadership training, music, swimming lessons, theatre programs, sports of all kinds, and more.

9. Swimming Lessons and Recreation
The Friedenberg Olympic-sized pool is kept at 81 degrees Farenheit, has a full deck, a large wading pool, and a huge whirlpool bath. Best of all, American Red Cross certified instructors provide swim lessons for children ages 4 years – 3rd grade.

10. Judaica Specialists
Camp Jaycee is fortunate to have three shlichim (counselors) from Israel that enrich camp by sharing Jewish customs, dancing, music, Hebrew, and more. Every week concludes with a camp-wide Shabbat celebration.
