Labor Day Weekend Recap šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ

Saturday took us to Lawrenceburg Speedway , home of the 2026 INEX Dirt Nationals. With 32 cars signed in and some of the best talent and equipment in the country on hand, it was shaping up to be a great night.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. We got one lap into Chris and Parker’s heat race before lightning in the sky brought the event to a rainout. Not the track time we came for, but we still managed to gather some valuable information for the notebook.

Sunday morning brought a parking lot gear change, and then we headed to our first visit at 35 Raceway Park with the Ohio Valley Legend Car Series. 18 cars signed in.

Chris qualified 11th and Parker qualified 16th. Both cars showed progress throughout the night as we continued making changes to improve speed and handling.

Chris: Started Heat 2 in 4th, finished 3rd.
Parker: Started Heat 1 in 6th, finished 4th.

The improvements were showing on track, and we were looking forward to putting that speed to work in the features.

Parker started the feature 10th. On lap 2, he got loose coming out of Turn 2 while trying to make a pass on the outside. The car spun into traffic, and with several cars having nowhere to go, he took contact to the door and left rear bumper. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, and Parker’s car took the majority of the damage.

After going to the tail, Parker settled in and drove back up to finish 11th.

Chris rolled off 8th in the feature. About halfway through the race, he got into his own incident while looking to the inside of a car ahead. He locked up trying to get the car stopped, and after the dust settled, the car was pulled in for leaking coolant. Chris finished 18th.

Not the race weekend we had hoped for, but we had a lot of fun and learned even more. Most importantly, everyone walked away healthy, and we’re thankful the damage was limited to our own cars.

We’re off next weekend, with our eyes forward to Championship Night at Florence Speedway and Dirt Nationals in October. There’s plenty of work to do to get these cars back together and finish the year strong.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Carter Boys Racing. We appreciate every bit of it.

See y’all soon. To God be the Glory

Night 1 at the Burg’ ended early due to rain.

The National Qualifier was shaping up to be a good one, with 31 cars registered from North Carolina to Illinois. We got some valuable info for the notebook and will be back at it tomorrow.

Tomorrow we’ll be at 35 Raceway Park with the Ohio Valley Legend Car Series. Our next trip back to the Burg’ will be for U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX Dirt Nationals in October.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to support CBR. We appreciate you.

WE’RE BACK!

Well it only took about a month… but we finally got to go racing again! After a long stretch of rainouts and time away from the track, CBR was back at it Saturday night at Florence Speedway for the Hidden Gem Motorsports Legends event with 20 cars signed in.

And it was a good night to be back.

55C | Chris Carter

Chris put down a 21.140 in qualifying, good enough for 11th. He started Heat 1 from 6th and finished 5th, lining him up 9th for the feature.

The Three Sixteen Motorsports LLC 55c machine really came to life when it mattered. Chris battled inside the top five for much of the feature, patiently working through the chaos and taking advantage of every opportunity that came his way. 6th place finish for Chris

72 | Parker Carter

Parker qualified right behind Chris with a 21.153, starting 12th. Heat 2 didn’t go quite as planned, dropping two spots from 6th to finish 8th and putting the 72 back in 16th for the feature.

But the car was a completely different animal in the feature.

We made some changes to compensate for the changing track conditions, and the 72 finally came alive. Parker stayed patient, worked through the chaos, and used the cautions to his advantage, eventually working his way into the top 10. 9th place finish for Parker

Both cars showed speed in the feature, and both drivers were really happy with the changes we made throughout the night. Being able to find speed and adapt as the track changed was a huge positive for our team.

After being away from the track for nearly a month, we really couldn’t have asked for a better night. 2 cars in the Top 10

A huge THANK YOU to Floyd Carter and Katie Morrison for all the hard work they put in at the track. These nights don’t happen without all the people behind the scenes.

We’ve got race footage from Florence coming to our YouTube channel this week, so stay tuned for that!

Thank You to everyone who continues to follow, share, support, and cheer us on. We appreciate every bit of it.

It’s been a while since we’ve been on here!

I guess you could say 2026 has been the year of rain. Between rainouts and rescheduled races, it’s been a tough year to keep the cars on the track.

But we’re not done yet!

We’ve got 5 races locked into the schedule for the remainder of the season, and we’re looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and finishing the year strong. There’s always a chance we add a few more races along the way, but these five are for sure on the CBR schedule.

Come out and see the action before the year is over!

Note: We’ll also be in Lawrenceburg on October 15 for Night 1 of Dirt Nationals practice.
