David and Shawn were raised running around the backwoods of our family farm. We hunted, fished in the ponds and even camped by the creek that ran through the property. We are both retired Army sergeants, veterans of desert storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. We want to bring our love of the outdoors to our children and those that follow our page.

UPDATE: Project SAVE THE FOXES, it's been a great road to recovery for a young fox named TODD. After 3 doses of medication I think he'll be just fine. Below are a before picture of when we started and a picture of him 3 days ago. We would like to thank our wonderful volunteers for helping us keep tabs on him and for administering the medication. And for Operation Wildlife for their help and support.

Deep Cover Outdoors

Hunting season is more than a date on the calendar.

It’s the early mornings when the rest of the world is still asleep. The cold air in your lungs. The sound of leaves under your boots. The anticipation of what might step out—and the patience to sit there when nothing does.

Every season gives us another chance to learn, improve, and make memories that last far longer than any hunt.

Some hunts will end with a filled tag. Some will end with nothing more than a sunrise, a story, and a lesson learned.

Both are worth it.

As the 2026–2027 hunting season gets underway, remember why we do this. Respect the land. Respect the wildlife. Help the next generation learn the right way. Appreciate the people sharing camp with you.

Because years from now, you probably won’t remember every shot you took…

But you’ll remember the mornings.
You’ll remember the people.
You’ll remember the stories.

Here’s to another season in the woods. Make it count. 🦌🌲
