🎉 FwF Sports Staff Spotlight: Sarah Roe ✨
Born and raised in South Webster, OH, Sarah has called TN home since the early 2000s. She first entered the FwF fold as a softball player in 2020. The same year we launched a league of our own. By our 4th season, Sarah had taken the reins, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Although she was already helping behind the scenes with player statistics and anything else that needed to be done, July 11, 2021, marked the official beginning of Sarah’s journey as our Softball League Commissioner.
Over the past 5 years, Sarah has poured an immeasurable amount of time, energy, and heart into this league. On game days, she is at the fields from sunup to sundown. Watching every game, keeping player stats, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure every player and team has what they need. Most people only see what happens on the field, but Sarah’s work begins long before the first pitch and continues well after the final out.
But what truly makes Sarah special cannot be measured by schedules, statistics, or seasons. Sarah genuinely loves the softball community and the people within it. That love is evident in everything she does. She celebrates people’s victories, stands beside them during difficult times, and fiercely supports those she cares about. She has become a trusted friend and one of the very best friends many could ever ask for.
Her impact also reaches far beyond FwF Sports. Sarah regularly organizes and hosts tournaments to raise money for charities and support people in need. She doesn’t simply talk about caring for others, she continuously puts that compassion into action.
Sarah is the definition of a leader. Not because of a title, but because people trust her, depend on her, and know that she will always show up. She leads with strength, loyalty, compassion, and an unmistakable passion for her people.
She is the heart of our softball community, the driving force behind our league, and unquestionably its backbone. FwF Softball would not be what it is today without her.
Sarah, thank you for 5 incredible years of leadership, sacrifice, friendship, and love. We are beyond fortunate to have you, and we cannot wait to see everything the years ahead will bring.
