We most likely won't be racing at Blanket Hill Speedway this coming Saturday. After washing and starting maintenance on the car yesterday I noticed the backside of the piston had some serious scratches on it so I will be replacing it with a new one. Doesn't take long to put a new one in but I have a very busy week and might not be able to get it done before the weekend. The scratches are most likely due to dirt getting through the air cleaner and getting sucked into the backside of the cylinder. Thankfully the cylinder looks fine. With all that said, we will be back at Michaels Mercer Raceway Park on September 5th for another race there. Had lots of fun Saturday night and I know Maddie was in high heaven racing her car on that track.

Recap from last night. 29 micro 270s showed up to race the 3/8 mile Michaels Mercer Raceway Park. Maddie started 5th in 3rd heat race and finished 6th. Top 5 advanced to feature race. Got in line for B Main and they cancelled it. Too many cars broke in heat races so we made the feature. Started 23 out of 26 cars and she made her way up to 18th to finish. Very happy and proud of her the way she was passing cars and almost had 17th place finishing 1/2 car from him. No videos cuz I was too busy watching her. A couple pictures from last night and maybe more coming from track photographers.

Recap from Saturday nights race. Maddie started 6th in the heat race out of 7 cars and finished 6th. She missed a gear on the start that put her behind a little but ran a good race. She started 11th in the feature out of 14 cars and finished 9th. During the meet the drivers at intermission a little girl came up for her autograph and said, I hope you don't flip. I was ready to just put the car in the trailer and skip the feature race. LOL When she came in from the feature race I noticed her GoPro camera was gone off the car. The mount broke and it all came off on the track. Luckily one of the track officials found it after the races were over. The case was banged up but did it's job protecting the camera. Maddie was recognized with having good sportsmanship at Blanket Hill Speedway Saturday night. If another car is faster than her she will move aside and let them go around her. That’s showing respect for other drivers and it does come back to help her at times.

Just got the trailer lights working but Blanket Hill Speedway cancelled due to rain later this evening. We will go watch the races at Michael’s Mercer Raceway Park tonight.

The plan was to race Blanket Hill Speedway tomorrow night, take next weekend off to get ready for our race at Michaels Mercer Raceway Park on the 21st. Plans have changed due to lights not working on the trailer. We drove back from Kittanning the last 2 weekends with no lights as they keep going off. Bought a new wiring harness and started messing with it last night and still can't get it figured out. Hoping to have time this weekend to find the source of the problem.
