Maddie's recovery is going well and she is getting around much better. After this crash and her saying she is done racing, she just text me and said she wants to get back in a car and race. We will at least need an RTS 270 chassis, 13"-14" seat, front axle and tie rod just to get started. I would consider a used chassis and seat if anyone has these. I have everything else to build a car.

Maddie had her first post-op appointment today with the orthopedic surgeon. Everything looks good on the latest xray, her stitches came out and she got an adjustable leg brace. After seeing the xray I questioned why they didn’t do anything with the one bone. He explained that if he would’ve opened her leg up in that spot an infection would’ve been more dangerous and that bone is not weight bearing and will heal on its own. Another appointment in 4 weeks. That’s a pretty big titanium rod he put in there.

It has just come to my attention that the rescue crew at Michael’s Mercer Raceway Park all chipped in to buy Maddie the 2 All Star shirts for her. Thank you so much Crew, we greatly appreciate this and all you do for the track!

We would also like to give a Big Thank You to our sponsors that has helped keep her on the track for the last 6 years. Without them, we would not have been able to do this. It is unfortunate that this will be the end of her racing after this hard crash. With a titanium rod in her leg she is afraid of injuring this leg again and possibly losing it. She has had crashed and rolled a couple times in the past, but this one was hard enough to call it quits. We will still be going to races to watch and help out our friends in years to come. Now she may be interested in racing RC Sprint Cars at our biggest sponsor Big Dog RC.

We would like to thank everyone that has sent her a card and a special shout out to the Twin State Auto Racing Club for the gift they sent her. Unfortunately she wasn't feeling up to going to watch the All Stars last Saturday, but we would like to thank Sandy Lake Auto Parts for the shirts and hats they brought for her, the All Stars for the shirts, Gage Priester and Leyton Wagner for the shirts they also had for her. She was definitely surprised by all of this and thanks all of you.

Just a little update on Maddie. She is finally getting up and moving more around the house with her walker. She has a follow-up appointment tomorrow with the orthopedic surgeon and will be starting outpatient physical therapy soon. It will be a long recovery mode but in the end she will be okay.

I was finally able to unload the trailer last night. A few pictures of the damage to the car.
