Today is Race Day at Afton Motorsports Park! Practice starts at 5:45, Heat Races begin at 6:30. If you can’t attend in person, there is live streaming available The Cushion. The track conditions were excellent last week, and i’m sure it’ll be the same for tonight. Sportsman have twin 15 lap features, while the modifieds have a traditional 30 Lap event. Hope to see you there.

Sometimes i take for granted how lucky i am to be able to enjoy this sport with my dad, but luckily pictures help put things into perspective. Hopefully I can make him proud with a couple of good runs tonight. Things haven’t gone well at all for him this season, and we are really hoping to turn it around tonight. We never give up when things get difficult that is for sure!! Thank you to all of our marketing partners who allow us to do this.

Race Day at the Afton Motorsports Park for KT and I.

🚨 I will have my car on display tonight in front of the grandstand area prior to tonight’s Racing activities. I will have T-Shirts for sale and Candy available. Dad would be joining me with his car on display, but he is chasing some electrical/fuel issues, we have changed/checked all grounds, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pick up, distributor, coil, carburetor. We have done all we can to hopefully resolve these issues. And currently working very hard in the shop to hopefully overcome this. Support your local race tracks and hopefully we will see you later!

We kicked off our first race of the year, at Afton Motorsports Park. I Started 5th in the heat, finished 2nd running down the leader. I was in 3rd with 5 laps to go in the feature when contact from the 4th place car unfortunately gave me a LR flat resulting in a 16th place finish. 👎🏻

KT started the night off a little too tight, finished 6th in his heat race. We made some adjustments for the feature, and unfortunately they weren’t enough as he was still a little too tight on corner entry which didn’t allow him to be as aggressive as needed. Still finished a respectable 13th. We will work on that and be better for next week.

Side Note - It’s always nice to be able to help people out. Last night we were able to help two of my close friends out at the track with some parts. Brad Weaver blew up his modified, so i let him take my sportsman out to get his green money, Mikey Nagel needed a yoke for his drive shaft so i was able to give him my spare so he could run the feature as well.

Thanks to our guys at the shop that help us get to the track, and all of our marketing partners who are along side, and support us every week. We appreciate you all. Special thanks to Michael with Fastline, i’ve been messing around with shock and spring combinations and Mike is always there to answer any questions and gets the shocks sent back to me immediately. He’s been doing my shocks for the last 8 years and is a huge asset to us.

Last night I went to The Penn Can Speedway for their championship night. Special thanks to Duane for going with me and helping all night. And also to my dad for giving me the opportunity to drive his Modified. When the dust settled we finished 4th in the feature which is an improvement from 6th last week. That is our 11th top 5 of the season and my first one with the modified. We focus our attention to tonight at Afton Motorsports Park. Dad is currently sitting 6th in points, hopefully we can both have a great night and the rain stays away. Thanks to all of our marketing partners and friends that make this possible!

Our weekend plans are Woodhull Raceway tomorrow for Kenny Titus and myself. Afton is off for the Walton Fair. Hot Laps at 6:00 with racing following at 6:30. We will have T shirts available at the track as well as at the shop during the week. We’ve been really good every time we go out west to Woodhull, hoping to continue that!! We went to Woodhull Raceway last night for a special mid week show. We started 4th in the heat race finished 2nd, and we also finished 2nd in the feature. The last 4 laps of the race we ran faster lap times than the leader. That is my 5th 2nd place finish this season. I’m hoping to continue the momentum and speed we found, into this Saturday night at Afton Motorsports Park. Practice at 5:45. Qualifying at 6:30

Race Updates are much easier when you end up here!!! This makes up for all those late nights, and early mornings. The hard work will always be worth it. We’ve been fast all year, it felt great to seal the deal and finally capture a win! So happy to have all the support that Dad and i have. This win was a complete team effort and i have the best one behind me! Dad started 7th was 6th early and finished in 8th. We will re group for the week. My next race is this Wednesday Woodhull Raceway. Dad and I will both be back to Afton Motorsports Park this Saturday.

Race Day at the Afton Motorsports Park tonight! Details are attached below. Kenny Titus and I will have shirts available with us at the track at our trailers. I can make arrangements to meet with people during the week as well if interested. I appreciate everyone’s patience on this page. This is the busiest time of year between, work and racing for me.
