A piece of Key West history you can step inside. 🏛️

Built in 1892, the Hellings Curry Museum is housed in a beautiful Queen Anne-style residence with deep ties to Key West history...

Originally home to Eleanor Curry Hellings, daughter of William Curry, Florida’s first self-made millionaire, the property later played a role in the planning of the Overseas Railroad Celebration and served as the Monroe County Public Library from 1941 to 1959.

Today, the home is preserved by the Key West Woman’s Club as the Hellings Curry Museum, honoring the Curry and Hellings families while celebrating the island’s rich past. ❤️

This place is nothing to shrub at!

In the early 2010s, Patrick Garvey found Grimal Grove on Big Pine Key, a then neglected property that was overrun with debris and largely overlooked. 🌴

But where many others had seen an abandoned lot, Patrick saw potential.

Inspired by the story of Adolf Grimal, the original creator of the grove and a passionate tropical fruit enthusiast, Patrick and his partner, Josef Crosby, took on the challenge of bringing the property back to life!

Through years of hard work, research, and dedication, they transformed Grimal Grove into a thriving botanical garden filled with rare and exotic tropical fruit trees! 🌱

Today, the grove stands as a living tribute to Adolf Grimal’s horticultural legacy and a beautiful reminder of what can happen when passion, perseverance, and a love for the Florida Keys come together.
