📣ATTENTION LOUISIANA COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN, VESSEL OWNERS, SEAFOOD DEALERS & CHARTER CAPTAINS!
The LDWF 2020–2021 Hurricane Disaster Assistance Program online application portal opens TODAY, October 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM!
Approximately $27 million in disaster assistance is available to eligible members of Louisiana’s fishing industry. EVERYONE MUST GO THROUGH THE ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE! If you received a prequalification letter showing the amount you are eligible to receive, you MUST log into the portal, complete your application, and accept that amount to receive your payment. If you disagree with the amount listed, you can file an appeal through the same portal and provide supporting documentation. If you DID NOT receive a letter, you should still visit the portal and register to begin the application process and have your eligibility reviewed. If you previously registered through the LDWF Equipment Modernization Grant Program, use your existing account to log in. If you have never registered, you will need to create an account.
IMPORTANT: The application deadline is January 31, 2027. This is NOT a first-come, first-served program. All eligible applicants who complete the required application process by the deadline will receive assistance.
Do not assume that receiving a letter means your payment will be sent automatically. You MUST complete the online application!
