Tee box is lying to you!

Have you ever noticed that tee markers are often pointed in a completely different direction than your target? One of the most common mistakes new golfers make is using the tee box to aim instead of picking a proper target line.

A great way to improve your alignment is to find an intermediate target a few feet in front of your ball that’s directly on your intended target line. This could be a divot, a leaf, a discolored patch of grass, or any small object that’s easy to see.

Using a nearby reference point makes alignment much easier and helps ensure you’re aimed where you actually want the ball to go—not where the tee box happens to be pointing. This simple habit can dramatically improve your accuracy off the tee.

How to keep consistent grip pressure.

The goal isn’t to grip the club tighter. It’s to keep your grip pressure consistent from start to finish for more reliable ball striking.

What’s more important? Ball speed or clubhead speed? Comment below.

Golf ball speed is ultimately more important than clubhead speed because ball speed is the direct result of how efficiently you transfer energy into the golf ball.

You can swing fast, but if you don’t make solid contact, a lot of that speed is wasted. On the other hand, a player with a slower swing can still produce impressive distance by striking the center of the face consistently.

A simple way to think about it:

* Clubhead Speed = How fast the club is moving.
* Ball Speed = How fast the ball leaves the clubface.
* Smash Factor = Ball Speed ÷ Clubhead Speed.

The goal isn’t just to swing harder—it’s to create more ball speed through centered contact, proper technique, and efficient energy transfer.
