Today marked an exciting milestone with the official launch of the Kansas City Diamonds. We are proud to introduce a new chapter for women’s fastpitch softball in Kansas City, one built on opportunity, development, and deep community roots.

The Kansas City Diamonds are a nonprofit organization led by a volunteer board, created intentionally to keep the focus where it belongs—on community impact, athlete development, and access to opportunity. Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate this moment and show support for the vision behind the Diamonds. The energy in the room reinforced how ready our community is to rally around women’s sports, just as it has for the women’s teams that have come before us.

We are deeply grateful to the Kansas City Monarchs for sharing in this vision and for opening their doors to welcome the Kansas City Diamonds home. Legends Field will proudly serve as the home field for the Kansas City Diamonds, creating an incredible opportunity to grow women’s fastpitch softball in a historic and community-centered space.
