I don’t believe players need to make 1,000 shots just to say they made 1,000 shots. I’d rather see 100 quality reps with attention to detail than a bunch of reps reinforcing bad habits. Quality matters.

We’re not trying to create a perfect shot. We’re trying to create repeatable habits and a shot that can be repeated in different situations, off different catches and off different movements. Basketball isn’t played in a lab.

Most players train their shot the wrong way. Reps alone won’t fix your shot. “Perfect” shots never happen in games. That’s not the skill we should be practicing. The skill we should be practicing is to be repeatable in different situations.

Identify the root cause -> create the adjustment -> train the movement -> add pace and movement -> add variability

Train shots with:
