5k Results Coming Today.

Dear Runners/Walkers,
This Saturday is the Lahaina String Charity Mile/5k, at the Ka'anapali Golf Course(Kai Course). The following is the information, you need to know about the event:

Date: 9/19/26
Time: 5k start is at 6:30am sharp. and Mile is at 7am sharp.
​
Course: The start and finish line is on the Kai Course, right on the corner of Ka'anapali Parkway & Honoapiilani Hwy. The mile is one loop on the lower part of the golf course. The 5k is a huge loop on the upper golf course, then a loop on the bottom course, then the finish. Follow the cones on YOUR RIGHT SIDE, during the races. Both Mile and 5k course are attached.

Parking: Parking will be on the golf course lawn behind the old vacant restaurant and the adjacent parking lot. We will have signs to guide you on to the lawn. If you have done this race before, you know where to go. Attached is a picture where to park.
​
Packet pick-up: Friday at the breezeway, between Roys Restaurant and The Kaanapali Golf Shop from 3-5pm. We highly recommend to get your bib and bag there. The day of is always tough on the volunteers, if you decide to go then. Last minute pick up will be at 6am for the 5k and 6:30am for the mile. We will have 2 tables. NO WALK UP ENTRIES at Packet pick up or RACE DAY. NO emails or texts, asking if you can. Sorry.

Medals: Finisher medals only.
​
Aid station: Refreshment station at the end, with bars, water.
​
Port a Potties: 2 at the entrance of the parking area.
​
Sponsors: Temptation Tours Maui and Ka'anapali Golf Course

Slappy Cakes Maui, will be there handing out banana bread at the end.

I am currently looking for 5 volunteers for this weekends Lahaina Strong Charity Run, for this Saturday from 5:30am to 8am. Course Marshals and Race Bib hand out. Hello Runners/Walkers,

We want to invite you to come out to the Lahaina Strong Mile & 5k Run/Walk on September 19th @ 6:30am. The event is to be held at the Kaanapali Golf Course. Both runs are on the golf course and golf cart path. We are about 1 month out, so act NOW and register. There is a cap to the event, so you need to sign up ASAP.
​
The 5k starts at 6:30am and the Mile starts at 7:30am. With your entry, you will receive a medal, goodie bag, and some cool stuff inside. All sponsored by Temptation Tours Maui.
​
This is a charity run that will give back to a non-profit on the West side of the island. The last 2 years we have given funds out to Lahainaluna High School and the Kaiaulu Initiatives. This year, we are taking some funds and purchasing Physical Education items for local middle schools on the Westide.
​
Both the 5k and the mile are open to all ages. It does not matter how fast you run or walk. Just finish. Both events will be timed. No age group awards, but we will have some prizes to give out, so save your bib.
​

Run. Walk. Remember. Give Back. Lahaina Strong. ❤️
Join us on September 19th for the Lahaina Strong Memorial Mile & 5K Run/Walk, a special community charity event at the beautiful Kāʻanapali Golf Course.
This event is about much more than running or walking. It is about bringing our community together, supporting our keiki, remembering Lahaina, and helping West Maui continue to move forward following the devastating wildfires.
Proceeds from the event will help purchase P.E. and athletic equipment for elementary and middle schools on the West Side of Maui, while also supporting community needs and organizations in Lahaina.
A Bigger Dream — Bringing Back the Front Street Mile
This event also represents the beginning of something we hope will grow for years to come.
Our dream is to someday bring back the iconic Front Street Mile, a race that gave generations of Maui keiki the opportunity to run, compete, have fun, and experience the excitement of being part of a special Lahaina tradition.
Every runner, walker, family, volunteer, and supporter who joins us helps us take another step toward that goal.
Everyone Is Welcome!
The Lahaina Strong Charity Mile & 5K is open to keiki, parents, families, adults, walkers, runners, and anyone who simply wants to support West Maui.
This is not about winning or being the fastest. It's about coming together for a great cause, getting active, having fun, and showing that the spirit of Lahaina remains LAHAINA STRONG!
Both the Mile and 5K will be timed, and every participant will receive a Lahaina Strong finisher medal, along with other goodies for our keiki and adults.
