Please welcome Sydney Etheridge as one of our new trainers at Impact Sports!
Sydney has had the privilege of playing, coaching, and teaching softball at every level. From stepping onto the field at age four to verbally committing to Mercer University as a freshman in high school, she has been dedicated to the game. She began pitching at age 10 under the guidance of some of the best pitching coaches in her area.
At Ola High School, Sydney was a four-year varsity player and a member of the state championship team her freshman year. She went on to play four years at Mercer University, competing with top-level travel programs and some of the best players in the country. These experiences fueled her passion for the game and her desire to help others reach their full potential.
Along her journey, Sydney faced multiple injuries, including a career-ending one, that gave her a unique perspective on the game. She knows firsthand what it takes to face setbacks, push through physical and mental challenges, and grow from those experiences. This resilience allows her to teach athletes not only the skills to succeed on the field but also the mental toughness to overcome adversity.
In addition to her playing career, Sydney has been giving pitching lessons since she was 16 and has coached at both Upson Lee High School and Mary Persons High School. After taking time to focus on raising her two young children, she is excited to return to instructing and share her love for the game with the next generation of athletes.
