Earlier this week I had a very distinct pleasure of guiding and fishing with Will Bynon. I got to know Will while he was working down at Pocono Fly Fishing. It was there where I learned that Will graduated this year from Jim Thorpe High School and has enlisted in the Navy. I had to send him off knowing there are so many fish to come back too. We started the day off lake fishing and switched it up and took him on a short late afternoon run down the river. That afternoon was priceless. We hooked up with some really nice trout and witnessed a mammoth brown trout take a baby duck off the water, like a killer whale taking a seal. Amazing!!!! The rise didn’t start till about dark where I landed 3 trout a Brook and 2 browns. All 3 were amazing. The last Brown was over 20” and ran unstoppable into my backing and was still able to land it. That fish is in a different post. Let’s all wish Will good luck and thank you for serving our country.
