On Wednesday Bill and I had another adventure out to the J. The bite was slow throughout the day. Bill landed this beautiful Smallmouth along with 11 others. I couldn’t get a fish in the net all day lol, but boy did I loose a big one in the grass.

Friday evening after dinner I went out on the lake to try a new Dragonfly pattern I have been working on. Have to say it’s a keeper for the box. Flies like these can be a day changer or just what you need to teach a child. It will catch them all. How about the colors on the Green Sunfish.

Marci and I took it easy yesterday enjoyed some sun, music and a lot of Smallmouth. This was by far the most explosive take of the day. So much fun on the fly rod and we didn’t need waders. lol.
