We saluted Ronald Gonazalez at our Christmas in June game! Ronald served in Vietnam from November 10, 1969 to November 11, 1970 with B Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division as a Combat Medic. His mission in the field was caring for and protecting the soldiers beside him every day in combat. After just one month in the field, Ronald was named Head Medic, leading four medics while overseeing all medical operations for a company of 130–150 men under some of the toughest conditions imaginable. For his courage, leadership, and sacrifice, Ronald received the Purple Heart, Combat Medical Badge, Bronze Star with “V” for Valor, Air Medal, and three Army Commendation Medals with “V” for Valor. We proudly honor and thank Ronald for his service, bravery, and dedication to his fellow soldiers and our country.
