Chapter 33: Rip off the bandaids

Discomfort. Unknown. Uncertainty.
Faith. Hope. Surrender.

Where comfort lies, growth often falters. We cling to a false sense of security, control, trying to analyze and predict every possible unfolding of our future. Holding on to things that no longer serve us just out of desperate attempt to hold onto comfort. But is that actually comfortable? There’s a price to pay, either way.

Life will unfold as it will. Control leads to resistance. Resistance leads to pain, illness, suffering. On the other side of resistance is flow. Flow is the unknown. Flow is surrender and faith. Flow is freedom.

What bandaid will I rip off?

The one that keeps me in a box. The one that has made me feel small, insignificant, isolated, unseen and unheard.

I will learn to choose my truth, use my voice, set down things that are not mine, take up space, and give myself permission to be myself unapologetically.

There are many bandaids we may collect from conditioning, trauma, parents, partners, etc.

Which one will you take off?
