Excellence in Service
Key Dives offers a full service, first class dive facility. Our primary objective is to provide diving, snorkeling and spearfishing on the beautiful reefs of Islamorada. With this in mind, we will over service our very valuable guests and make their vacation one to remember forever. Valet Service
Diving guests will enjoy our unique valet service. They will notice a difference

in their diving experience when they first walk through the door. After a heartfelt greeting, guest will have their gear tagged with their name, transported and set up on the boat, and any other pre-dive needs they may have tended to. Captains Safety Briefing
Before every departure your captain will give a safety briefing for the procedures to be follwed when travelling on our Coast Guard inspected dive boat, the “Giant Stride”. On our way to the reefs, each diver will receive a dive-briefing from your guide on the site they are about to embark on. Your guide will help you to get correctly weighted and comfortable with equipment if needed. Every guide will have a no more than 6 divers. This allows guides to safely show you all of the wonderful aquatic life our reefs have to offer. Some even comment that the guides have the wildlife trained to show up and perform for our guests. Although flattering, this is not the case. What our quests are experiencing is the passion and excellence that each guide delivers on every dive. Commitment to Excellence
Our guest’s enjoyment and more importantly safety is only a small part of Key Dives commitment to excellence. In between dives, our guides will switch out tanks and get everything ready for the second dive. Debriefing
On our way back to dock, guides will break down all dive equipment and answer any guest questions and continue the wonderful experience on the cruise in. Once docked our guests simply walk off the boat. The crew will rinse, transport back to the shop, hang, dry and store dive gear for the next dive or to be picked up for those which need to end their vacation. All you need to do is relax, kick, and breathe.

Octopus aren’t seen much in the daylight. But this Thursday Aug 27th night dive is a great chance to see one!

The reef wakes up in a different way. Color-changing, shape-shifting, straight up alien behavior… and it’s all happening right outside our door.

Season’s winding down, so this is one of the last chances to get in the water after dark with us and octopus.

Call to book!

Awesome few dives for SubSurface Veterans on our August monthly trip! Eagle wreck did not dissapoint. 🤙🌊

Big thank you to Islamorada Dive Center and Key Dives for getting us out on the water and back safely. Most importantly, thank you to all the veterans who came out, dove, and shared some great times together.

This is what it’s all about—getting veterans underwater, building camaraderie, and enjoying the ocean. 🇺🇸🤿

Some spots on our sold-out Red Sea liveaboard just opened up, and they won't last long!

November 14–21, 2026 | Red Sea Deep South (Rocky & Zabargad)
📍 Port Hamata, Egypt

Come Dive with Mike Goldberg! Mike dove here last year and loved it so much we are going back. The coral, the life, all of it. Remote, pristine reefs that most divers never get to see, with oceanic whitetips, reef sharks, rays, and turtles that call this place home. He can't wait to get back and share it with you.

Here's what's included in your $2,200/person (double occupancy):
🛏️ 7 nights aboard a 131-ft luxury liveaboard
🍽️ All meals, snacks, beer & wine
🤿 Up to 5 dives a day including night dives
🚤 Two skiffs for accessing remote sites

Don't let someone else take your spots!

Lobster mini-season is officially here.
Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Here's what you need to know for Monroe County waters:

Bag limit: 6 lobster per person, per day — all day, no exceptions
Size limit: carapace must measure larger than 3", measured while still in the water. Bring your measuring device
Lobster must be whole — no separating tail from body in state waters
No egg-bearing lobster, ever
Dive flag required — up while diving, down while underway, stay within 300 ft
No night diving in Monroe County during the two-day sport season
Local rule: no snorkeling or diving within 300 ft of improved residential or commercial shoreline, any man-made or private canal, or any public or private marina
Be aware of no-take and protected areas before you drop in

You'll also need a recreational saltwater fishing license and a lobster permit.

It gets hot and busy out there — pace yourself, drink plenty of water, and take breaks between dives. And please, watch where your fins and your anchor land — the reef doesn't recover overnight.

We're hiring a full-time Dive Instructor for late summer into early fall.

If you want your work underwater to leave the reef better than you found it, we want to hear from you!

Between our monthly Dive Against Debris cleanups, weekly coral and sponge outplants with I.CARE, and our partnership with the National Marine Sanctuary, conservation is not a side project here; it is how we operate every day.

We were just voted #1 Dive Shop in North America in Scuba Diving Magazine's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of that standard.

**Must hold an active Open Water Dive Instructor rating. Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid U.S. work visa.**

Send your resume to [email protected] or call us at 305-664-2211 with any questions.
