Things that would make roadrunners cry at the Horseshoe Bend Ultras:

1. The sand. And not knowing about gaiters ahead of time.
2. The views (crying in a good way).
3. The ever-present sunshine. There's shade in the canyons, but bring a hat for everything else!
4. Trail culture! Everyone is friendly and trail runners have a welcoming camaraderie.
5. Tears of joy, and surprise for doing something different than what they are used to.

We're in the final countdown before the Beaver Canyon Half Marathon & 10k.

Run one of the most scenic downhill, canyon races in Utah. Starting in the diverse Fishlake National Forest, the course follows the paved highway into the town of Beaver. Our finish line is right outside of town, making it a fun and non-congested gathering space.

About 20 weeks until Horseshoe Bend Ultras! Keep training or start training for one of the best races in the American Southwest. This private course takes you through sections of the desert landscape that aren't open to the public including exclusive views of Horseshoe Bend and the private Waterholes Canyon, a sister slot canyon to Antelope Canyon.

50 Mile Distance: runs through Antelope Canyon, Waterholes Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and the Page Rim Trail.

55k Distance: runs through Waterholes Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and the Page Rim Trail.

Half Marathon Distance: runs around the Page Rim Trail.

Facts about Horseshoe Bend Ultras you should know:

1. 3,700+ feet of elevation gain on the 50 mile course
2. Three unique landscapes: slot canyons, Horseshoe Bend, and high desert.
3. The Navajo Sandstone around Page is thought to be 190 million years old.
4. The Colorado River, which runs along part of the course, is 1,450 miles long.
5. Over 90 runners competed in the ultras in 2025; approachable and still competitive.
6. Course elevation sits between 4,200 feet and 4,800 feet.
7. Three distances offered: 50 mile, 55k, and half marathon.
