🏀 WELCOME TO THE LION FAMILY, COACH TYLER DOTSON! 🦁

Expression Prep Academy is excited to welcome Coach Tyler Dotson as our Boys Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach and Head Basketball Trainer at the ExDome!

A Huntington native, Coach Dotson brings more than a decade of experience developing athletes, from young players just beginning the game to athletes competing at the collegiate and professional levels.

His coaching journey has included ESBA Elite, Team Mayo, Huntington Prep, Huntington High, where he previously coached alongside Head Coach Ty Holmes, and most recently coaching in Ashland. From 2023–2026, his teams earned back-to-back regional championships and an Elite Eight appearance in the Kentucky State Tournament. 🏆

Coach Dotson is passionate about player development and helping young athletes grow through discipline, hard work, character, and faith. He and his wife, Kayla, are raising their family here in the Huntington community, and we’re excited to have him bring his experience and passion to the Pride!

🏀 WELCOME TO THE LION FAMILY, COACH TY HOLMES! 🦁

Expression Prep Academy is proud to announce Coach Ty Holmes as our new Head Coach for Boys Varsity Basketball.

With more than 20 years of coaching experience, Coach Holmes has made an impact at Huntington St. Joseph Central Catholic High School, Huntington Prep, and Huntington High School, where he was a member of the 2017 West Virginia State Championship coaching staff.

Beyond the wins, Coach Holmes is known for developing young men of character, discipline, accountability, faith, and excellence. A respected leader in our community and an Assistant Pastor at The Glorious Church of God in Christ, he is passionate about helping student-athletes grow on the court, in the classroom, and in their walk through life.

Coach Holmes and his wife, Demeley, are the proud parents of four children, and we are honored to welcome their family to ours.

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 "𝗦𝗵𝘂." 𝓢𝓱𝓲𝓻𝔂𝓾 𝓢𝓪𝓴𝓪𝓾𝓮 is currently in Japan, headed to train with the 日本バスケットボール協会 （JBA） Japanese U-18 National team. He will be playing in the FIBA Asia Cup later in August before arriving at Expression Prep Academy WV. 𝗦𝗵𝘂 is a very long guard with very sneaky athleticism. We can’t wait to get him on campus!
