Forever a Part of Our Rodeo Family — Misty Worrell
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off family members, Misty Worrell.
Misty was so much more than a volunteer. She was a dedicated leader, a familiar face, a helping hand, and a true part of the heart and soul of our organization.
Having previously served as a leader within the EOC team to being the Vice President over Emergency Operations, Misty devoted countless hours and years to making our events successful. Her commitment went far beyond the days of the rodeo itself. From the weeks of preparation leading up to the event, to the long days and late nights during the Rodeo, BBQ Cook-Off, Livestock Show, Special Kids Day, and everything in between, Misty was there.
She didn't do it for recognition or a paycheck. She did it because she loved these events, the people involved, and the community they brought together. That is the true spirit of a volunteer, and Misty embodied it wholeheartedly.
Those who have been part of this rodeo family know that the friendships formed here go far beyond the arena. We work together, laugh together, occasionally drive each other crazy, and become family along the way. Misty was family, and her absence will be felt for years to come.
The hours she gave, the friendships she made, and the difference she made will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Misty's family, friends, and fellow volunteers during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Misty. You've worked your last shift, but you'll forever have a place in our rodeo family.
With love and gratitude,
Your Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off Family ❤️
