We want to invite you to our second Hello Howell community conversation on Monday, September 14th from 6pm-8pm at the Cleary University Commons.

Our goal for this evening is to hear what’s working, where gaps may exist, and what barriers keep people from participating in Howell Reecreation programs. This is also a great opportunity for the community to give ideas for what new programs, experiences, events, or facility improvements we should be thinking about as HAPRA continues to grow.

Pre-registration is available to help us plan for the evening, but it is not required and walk-ins are absolutely welcome. You can sign up online at:

Reminder that the Oceola Community Center and The Hive Youth & Teen Center will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Regular hours will resume September 8th.

Happy ! A lot of Howell is still without power so we're extending our waived drop-in fees at the Oceola Community Center through Sunday. If you're without power and need a place to work, shower, or charge your device come on by!

The indoor walking track, fitness room (16+ only), and the gym space (during drop in times) will also be available for use. Be sure to check out our gym calendar for drop-in times and programs online at:
