Fall Kids Group Rides are open!

These rides are all about fun, freedom, and exploring Houston by bike.

Designed for kids who can already ride independently, our guided group rides give young riders a chance to build confidence, make friends, practice safe riding skills, and discover parks, trails, and bayou paths in a playful, supportive environment.

After School Rides
Heights — Tue, 3:15–4:45
Westbury — Wed, 3:15–4:45
Bellaire / West U / Braeswood — Thu, 3:30–5:00

Weekend Bayou Rides
Heights / Near Northside — Sat, 9:00–10:30
Meyerland — Sun, 9:00–10:30

Summer camp was very serious this year, y’all.

JK. What a blast.

Huge thanks to all the kids and families who joined us for Bike Freedom Academy summer camps. We had so much fun riding, learning, playing, exploring, laughing, sweating, and watching these riders grow in confidence all week long.

Grateful for every kid who showed up ready to try, every family who trusted us, and every silly camp moment along the way.

We’re teaming up with for a one-day Bike & Art Camp, where creativity meets movement.

June 5th, HISD is out, and we're ready for summer!

Kids will kick off the day with a guided bike ride exploring the Heights, building confidence and having fun on two wheels with Bike Freedom Academy. Then it’s back to the studio to design, decorate, and bring their very own art vision to life with Dream Bird.

It’s the perfect mix of adventure, creativity, and summer fun.

Meet Coach Evan! An educator and adventurer, Evan brings patience, connection, and creativity to every lesson and every group ride. He believes bikes are a powerful way to explore, build community, and grow confidence, and he’s taught riders from age 3 to 78. He embodies our mantra of Balance! Play! Explore!

An experienced rider with professional experience in ESL and Special Education (and a doctorate in progress), Evan creates thoughtful, learner-centered experiences that meet each rider where they are. The goal is simple: help every rider feel supported, capable, and excited to ride.

We had an awesome week at Bike Freedom Academy Spring Camp! 🚲

Riders worked on balance, pedaling, control, and confidence and most importantly had a ton of fun learning together. It was amazing to see how much progress the kids made in just a few days. From first pedals to smoother turns, every rider pushed themselves and supported each other along the way.

Huge shout out to for hosting us this week. Give them a follow if you don’t already -they run some of the coolest cycling programs and events in Houston.

We’re excited for the next round of camps, classes, and group rides coming soon.
