On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Galveston learned they were free, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. The news was late. The freedom was real.
—
That gap teaches me something every year: liberation doesn’t always arrive on our timeline, but it arrives. And when it does, we don’t just step into it quietly. We celebrate it loudly. We honor the ones who waited. We build for the ones still coming.
—
Juneteenth isn’t only a remembrance, it’s a rhythm. The break our ancestors were denied. The sacred pause they finally claimed. The groove we get to dance in because they refused to stop believing it was coming.
—
So today I’m grateful. For freedom won. For the shoulders I stand on. For a community that keeps choosing joy as resistance and excellence as legacy.

We are the answered prayer and We are still rising. 🖤❤️💚

When the GHWCC International Women’s Conference brought us together, something happened that I don’t take lightly; people leaned in.

The conversation was rich, the energy was real, and the feedback afterward? “One of the best panels of the day.” I am beyond grateful for the feedbak and the experience!

What made this panel special wasn’t just the women in the room; it was the fact that we also had a male leader at the table who showed up fully, ready to listen and engage. That is what progress looks like.
—
We touched on thriving vs. surviving. On pace, purpose, and the power of knowing when to move and when to stand still.
—
On what it truly means to be a woman navigating corporate spaces with grace AND grit. BTW- we did all of this with reduced time. 👏🏾
