Here's some highlights from the first 2 weeks.

Lots of great running, lots of great miles, lots of great workouts, and even some time at the Dunes and Lake Michigan. Peep the end of the video for the cutest addition to our Viking cross country family!

The group is ready to kick off the racing season tomorrow morning at the Rooster's Crow 2 Mile at Jijak Camp on our home course. Boys race at 8:40 AM and girls at 9:00 AM.

We kicked off the cross country season with another rendition of Midnight Madness! Excited to see how this group grows and develops!

Midnight Madness will commence tonight at Midnight. The track is not ready for use, so we will be meeting behind the high school near the weight room.

Families and alumni are welcome and encouraged to join our run tonight!

Hopkins Cross Country is looking for a volunteer assistant for the upcoming 2026 season!

Roles and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the head coach in operation of daily practice and meets
- Assisting the head coach in set up and clean up of practice and home meets (4).
- Assisting the head coach in logistics i.e. bus transportation, uniform/gear organization, etc.
- Be a positive influence on all athletes!

The one main requirement is completing a background check to be able to work with the student-athletes.

A background in running/cross country is not required, but may be very beneficial.

This position is a voluntary position without pay, but a stipend at the end of the season is possible depending on the funds of the cross country account.
