On Saturday, our Hopkins Track and Field team brought 14 individuals to the MHSAA D2 State Finals. They battle hard and here are the results! (https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/622969/results)
Congratulations to Clayton Kerber and Riley Homrich for earning All-State honors by medaling in their respective events!
5th Place - Clayton Kerber - 300m Hurdles - Kerber posted another Hopkins record performance for this honor, clocking a time of 38.97s!
6th Place - Riley Homrich - 100m - Riley snuck into the finals by a thousandth of a second in her preliminary race. Not to be outdone, she proceeded to pass multiple ladies in the finals to secure her place. She ran a time of 12.53s!

Records from the day - Three records were beat at the meet
1. Clayton Kerber crushed his 300m H, finishing it in 38.97s to claim the Hopkins record! The record was previously held by Nick Caywood (39.64s in 2013).
2. Jack Estelle beat his own record in the 1600m, improving his time to 4:20.58.
3. Kellen Ford better his own record by running the 200m in 22.23s!
