Yeah! it's time for the Iceman Cometh Challenge. Mrs. VonBuckinator and I will be heading over the bridge to take part in this riotous gathering (righteous gathering?). One of our favorite races. My wife is an awesome stoker but unfortunately we won't be riding the recumbent tandem through the woods on Saturday.
But we will have the VonBuckinator machine setup at the finish line, cleaning and waxing chains on Friday and Saturday. If you aleady wax your chain, we can save you the time and hassle and rewax your chain for you. If you are a wax virgin and a little bit wax curious we can scratch that itch for you without having to ruin the family crock pot. Or having to take the chain off your bike.
There currently is no charge for getting your chain cleaned and hot waxed. You are helping us further the VonBuckinator concept by allowing us to use your bike to test our machine and Blue Whahoo chain wax. Your feedback is invaluable. We hope to see you there!

Getting the equipment all loaded up for the Old Fashioned Gravel in Hokah MN. We will be there today, Friday afternoon and tomorrow, Saturday, all day, cleaning the grit and gravel out of your chain before hot waxing all over them.

Wonderful weekend spent at Chequamegon MTB Fest cleaning and hot waxing chains. This gritty chain would have made short work of the chain and gears. 5 minutes and the rider is ready for the next race. And without the grit.

After our Thursday Evening Wax-o-rama in my driveway, The Old Fashioned Gravel is our next planned bike event. Registration closes 9/26 so if you are waiting till the last minute,don't- sign up now. You will be glad you did.
