Junior Golf Sign-Ups Are Open

Parents, it’s time to get your kiddos signed up for Junior Golf with Coach Taebel!

Starting Wednesday, June 24, juniors will learn all facets of the game, from putting to full swing, while building confidence, learning new skills, and having fun on the course.

Wednesdays: June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15 & July 29

Grades 3–5: 9–9:45am
Grades 6–8: 10–11:00am

Sign-up fee is just $30.

That's a wrap on our golf season. We played well in a very tough Sectional but fell short. Big thank you to our coaches--Spencer Gault, Bryan Helgeson and Coach Van Order. Boys had Regionals today at Sparta. We had a great start and were leading at the turn. We finished the day with the 3rd best score of the year and ticket punched to Sectionals. Our Team Medalist and 2nd overall with a 72 was Logan Pinnow. All the boys did great!

Senior Spotlight is Ayden Dirks. Ayden has been around our program for many years with two brothers playing as well. I have known Ayden since he was very little, coaching his older brother in 8u baseball many years ago. It has been fun watching Ayden grow as a person and an athlete. He is always positive and open-minded. Ayden will pursue a career as an electrician, good luck at Regionals this Tuesday and beyond!

Great day at Conference event in Viroqua. Weather was great and course was in good shape. Ayden Dirks and Logan Pinnow led the way for our team shooting 79. Logan Pinnow was awarded 1st Team All-Conference after the event, taking 4th place in the Conference.

Our Varsity squad was in the Dells for our annual overnight stay in the Dells and the Battle at the Rock tournament. Our boys took 10th out of 23 teams and faired very well against our upcoming Regional competition. Holmen was led by Ayden Dirks who led the way firing a 79 today. Next up we have our Conference tournament May 18th at Viroqua Hills.

Braylan Welch is our next Senior Spotlight. Braylan decided to go out for golf his Sophomore year and he has been contributing ever since. Braylan has been a great asset for our team and has been a joy to coach. We have shared a lot of laughs over the last couple years. Braylan will be attending UW-Milwaukee in the fall and wants to pursue a career as an Anesthesiologist.

Yesterday the boys went over and played one of Wisconsin's gems, Lawsonia. They played the links course, so as usual fast greens and a bit of a breeze off the lake. Team finished 6th out of 28 teams. Logan Pinnow was our Team Medalist with a very steady round of 78. Next up we play 2 tournaments on Monday. Wild Rock and Whispering Pines.
