One of my newer lessons just started learning a front walkover and is doing absolutely fabulous!! Here are the steps I take to teach them how to do a front walk over PROPERLY!!!!
It is very important to teach them the right way from the beginning so they don’t develop bad habits they later have to break. However, I will take teaching each mistake one by one to not overwhelm them.

Coaches, PLEASE!!! Teach a proper split from day 1!!! Fixing splits later in one’s gymnastics career can be tricky as their muscles have been stretched the wrong way for so long!

Lessons can start as young as two years old! We start with the very basics, copying skills, following instructions, and even a little gymnastics! Typical skills we will do are that I help them with their handstand (like this), I can help them with roll, we can learn to hold onto the bar, walk on the beam, and more! It is a great way to help with motor skills and even behavior!
