Correction time! Apparently my golf game isn’t the only thing that needs work… the tournament is on SUNDAY, June 28th. (Thanks to everyone who caught that!)

Behind every great tournament weekend is a team that has been putting in the work long before the first tee time.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Golf Maintenance Director Billy Witt and his entire crew for the incredible care, time, and hard work they continue to pour into our golf course. This team has been working nonstop all year long, and especially throughout this last month with the many tournaments, events, and busy weekends taking place at the course.

This past weekend’s Members Guest Tournament was no exception. The greens were absolutely incredible, and the condition of the course did not go unnoticed by players and guests alike. The attention to detail, early mornings, long days, and constant upkeep truly showed.

It takes a tremendous amount of dedication to keep a course looking and playing at such a high level, especially during such a packed season, and we are incredibly grateful for everything Billy and his team do behind the scenes each and every day.

Thank you for your hard work, commitment, and pride in this course. It does not go unnoticed, and it is deeply appreciated.

What a weekend for Hidden Valley Lake! ⛳️

Our Annual Men’s Golf Club Member-Guest Tournament brought an unforgettable three days of golf, community, laughter, competition, and connection. From the first tee shot to the final banquet celebration, this weekend was truly something special.

The tournament completely sold out with a full field of players, and the energy all weekend long was incredible. Friends reunited, new memories were made, and the course was filled with great golf and even better camaraderie.

The celebration continued Saturday night at The Greenview Bar & Grill where all three banquet rooms were transformed for the awards dinner banquet hosting 200 guests. The dinner was completely sold out and the atmosphere was one to remember.

Congratulations to this year’s 1st Place Overall Gross Champions, Riley Adams and David Carr Jr., on an incredible tournament performance.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, attended, organized, sponsored, served, and helped make this annual tradition such a success. Weekends like this are what make this community so special!

The biggest tournament in our community is officially underway! ⛳️

The HVL Men’s Golf Club Member-Guest Tournament has completely sold out with a full field of 144 players and even a waitlist — a true reflection of how special this event has become year after year.

Play began this morning, with a very special memorial tribute at 8:30am on the 1st tee honoring Dick Scott, a beloved member of our community and a huge influence on HVL golf. Before tee off, players and attendees joined together for a moment of silence in his honor. Last year, Dick served as the tournament’s honorary starter. Many also remember his incredible hole-in-one on the infamous Hole 15 cliff shot back in 1997 — still the only one ever recorded there.

This year, Dick’s granddaughter, Tiffany Pickens, served as our honorary starter alongside her mom Teresa Sands.

Tournament play continues all day today and Saturday followed by the Awards Dinner tomorrow night at 5:30pm.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, as well as the incredible volunteers who make this event possible each year. Men’s Club President David Thurber gave a huge shout out and thank you to everyone involved for helping make this tournament such a success (which sold out back in March!)

Special thanks as well to Richard Pritchard, Director of Golf, and his entire team, along with Billy Witt, Director of Golf Maintenance, and his crew for all of their hard work behind the scenes.

Richard shared that after 14 years as the Golf Director, the event continues to grow bigger every year— bringing together both familiar faces and new ones for an unforgettable weekend of golf and community.

The Men’s Member Guest Tournament kicks off today, and it’s shaping up to be a big weekend at the golf course and The Greenview! ⛳️🔥

The tournament officially begins after a practice round with registration and BBQ at 5pm, followed by a full day of competition on Friday— including the always popular Horse Race and Putting Contest Friday evening. The final round takes place Saturday, ending with the Awards Dinner that night.

This year’s tournament is extra special because for the first time ever, the event sold out well in advance and even has a waitlist! We can’t wait to welcome all of the players and guests for an exciting 3 day tournament weekend.

Please be aware that the course and The Greenview Bar & Grill will be much busier than usual throughout the event.

Whether you’re stopping by to practice, play a full round, or just enjoy the views, our golf course has something for every level of golfer.

Start at the driving range to warm up before your round or work on your swing solo anytime. Then head over to the putting green to fine tune your short game before wrapping up the day.

Need gear, balls, apparel, or last-minute golf essentials? The Pro Shop is stocked with everything you need for a great day on the course.

And of course… the course itself. Our 18-hole course gives golfers the best of both worlds with a flatter side and a more challenging hilly side, creating a fun and beautiful experience from start to finish.
