We made a new friend in the creek!

The Eastern River Cooter, derived from the Bambara & Malinké word for turtle, "kuta", prefers clear rivers and streams with moderate flow and plenty of aquatic vegetation.

At this size, it's difficult to distinguish between male or female, but if everything goes right for this hatching, it can live for up to 40 years!

We've heard of folks finding them like this and seen a video or two, but never expected this to happen 🤯

In FL we often pave our parking lots with sharks teeth. It appears MO adorns rock gardens with ancient artifacts 🤩

Us humans are really good at moving things around if nothing else, lol. Apologies in advance for the language 😅

Throwback Thursday to when I caught my personal best Redfish out of Crystal River!

Spent the day on the old alumacraft with capt Travis chumming the bars and it definitely paid off. We thought it was a shark at first.
