I read this story for the first time about a year ago and have thought of it often since then. I think about it when I'm up, early in the morning getting ready for work, after all that's when it happened to them. Honestly, I used to think of home invasions as only an evening or nighttime event. Apparently not. I think about it when I'm cooking breakfast, or taking a shower -- where is my closest loaded firearm and could I access it before the bad guy "gets me"?
