I’m always coming across woodcock that will try to sneak away without flushing, especially when they’re migrating. This video’s an example why I grid search a wide area around a dog that points.

The only reason I knew this bird was here was because he was practically sitting underneath Bandit when I was walking up.

Trust your dogs nose this fall, take an extra walk around him when you think it’s a false point. Only a month away we’re almost there! 🍁
