YOUR WORK PERCEPTION
A new strength coach joined BSF and decided to walk the floor—to get a feel for what the team really thought about their work.
She stopped by the racks where one athlete was training and asked,
“What are you working on?”
Without looking up, the athlete grunted,
“Just doing what Coach programmed. Same stuff, different day. It’s hard, it’s hot, and honestly, it’s exhausting.”
She nodded and moved down the line to the next athlete.
“What about you—what are you working on?”
This one shrugged,
“Lifting. Getting a little stronger each week. It’s a job, I guess. Could be worse.”
Finally, she walked to the third athlete.
“And you?”
The athlete smiled, sweat running down his face.
“I’m building something bigger than myself. Every rep I hit and every drill I master moves me closer to my goals—and helps my team rise with me. This work? It’s how champions are made.”
Perspective defines performance.
Attitude is a choice.
Every session, you decide whether you’re:
1. Just showing up to check a box,
2. Doing it because someone told you to,
3. Or fully invested in building something greater—your future, your team, your legacy.
You control your mindset, your actions, and your response to challenge.
No one can take that from you!
So what kind of athlete or teammate will you be today?
