Throw it Back Cornhole

Throw it Back Cornhole Local American Co****le League Club "ACL" Huddle Up Sports Bar: Ashland, VA
Tuesday's Blind Draws and ACL Swap Nights Ashland, VA. not the 80%.

We hold weekly ACL-sanctioned events on Monday & Wednesday nights at Huddle Up Sports Bar: 407 England St. All events are 10.00 cash only. Payouts are 80% unless otherwise posted. FAQ

Are you ACL Directors :
Ryan Baker is the local ACL director, this allows him to run events for local ACL points and run events in the ACL App. Lynn and Jon Harris are not directors, we are here to help Ryan set up

and tear down. We can also run events if Ryan cannot make it to ensure we are consistent in playing the same days every week with minimal cancellations. Are you affiliated with any Regional State or Conference Directors:
Yes and No, As Local directors we can run as many events as we like, no one is telling us what, where or when to play. We do our best to not impact regional or higher events by playing on those days. Virginia is in the Atlantic Conf which is run by Ashley Kernes. Ashly is there if we have questions on rules or best practice guidance on events. We also are required to report any Player Code of Conduct violations to her but other directors OR the ACL do NOT benefit financially from what we do on a local level. Why do you only pay out 80%? :
The 20% we keep is put right back into our events. When we started 804 BagGodz our goal was to provide the best quality equipment we could. We purchased a lot of those out of our pocket, and we would like to recoup some of that. We are also slowly replacing boards to standardize all the sets we play on from the same manufacturer" or as close as we can get ". Tablets break, stands break, and we need to be able to replace those as needed That is where the 20% goes to. We also have reoccurring expenses to ensure we have our own Wifi to be sure events are not dependent on a location's WiFi or lack thereof. Again it is to ensure we can have the best and smoothest events we can. Once we recoup out start-up costs and get the boards and mats we will review if we can increase our payouts to ONLY cover our reoccurring expenses such as Monthly Wifi, Directors fees, and some funds to replace things when they are broken. How do you determine to pay out:
We always pay out 80% of the entry fees to the top 3 based on a standard percentage, the amounts change based on the number of players. We also pay out 4th when we can and 4th is paid out by 804 BagGodz, That's right, we pay out 4th from our 20%. Do you get paid?:
No, the 20% we recoup goes back to keeping things running, replacing broken stuff, or improving. Nothing goes in our pockets. We do not get paid by the ACL or our host location. As a matter of fact, we PAY the ACL to be a Local Director. We do this for the love of the game and for the players, not for money. Do you get paid by the locations:
No, they provide us a place to play and we bring them customers who we hope eat and drink which helps the host location. This is why we do not allow outside food or drink, If the Location does not see profit they just stop allowing co****le to play,

Why do you Stream events?: Well we feel the players like it, Social Media is the best way future or current Pros can get recognized, Not many are doing that on the local level, especially in Virginia and it is just one more thing we can do to be different and stand out. The other reason is Jon likes doing it, He had the gear already from other streaming platforms he does and it costs nothing to do, ALL of the gear used is owned by Jon and nothing was bought by 804 so why not do it? I have more questions:
Don't hesitate to ask Ryan, Lynn, or Jon. We will answer any questions you have and try to address any concerns or listen to any ideas you have on how we can be better. We do this for you, the players. If you are not happy and do not come play at our events we cannot succeed. However, if we are doing a good job we like to hear that too.
