Record setting finish!!! With a 4:23.77 finish time in the 1600 Meter Run, Sophomore Cameron Bitts set a new Havelock High School record time for the event! His finish was good for 6th place overall at Friday’s NCHSAA State Championship.

He followed that performance with a 9:49.81 finish in the 3200 Meter Run, 7th place overall for 5A Boys and the second best time ever in Havelock High School history. His finish was just shy of his school record of 9:45.75 which he established on April 30th at the Coastal 5A/6A Championship!

Way to finish the season strong, Cam!

The man can jump!!! Congratulations to Class of 2026 Senior ZyKing Patillo! 2026 NCHSAA 5A State Champion (Long Jump) and State Runner-Up (High Jump).

He also concludes his high school career as a school record holder in the High Jump (he tied the school record with a jump height of 6 feet, 6 inches during the 2025 season)!
