September's match is in the books and surprise, surprise it rained but I did collect my monthly "rainCheck" from the local farmers for bring them rain.

First three stage went well for most last couple were made a little more difficult thanks to the wettness.

Congrats to the top 5. Rock L., Dave N., Caleb K., Kyle D. and Jamison H. Special shout out to Lucas H. one of our young shooters so close to breaking the top 20, maybe next month.

We do not have a traditional monthly match in October as I will be gone, but we are running the night match on the 24th. It is currently full but you can get on the waitlist and I will be adding from this list is other shooters drop out.

November we are going to run a little different format. I will still be 4-5 stages of 2 gun fun but will be scored under hit factor rules. You will also not have to worry about cover or tactical priority as this is a match where you need to be fast and accurate. I will be posting a link to the ruleset soon but it will be very similar to PCSL 2 gun. So get signed up for this one in November.

Upcoming matches for this fall.

Sept 5th. 2gun

Oct 24th. 2 gun night shoot. This match will be limited to a total of 48 shooters. So sign up early.

Nov 7th. 2 gun match but will be scored as a hit factor match.

What a match, our 1st match of this type was great. It was definitely a hardcore match and made everyone work for their scores. There are certainly some tweaks and change we will ad for next year, but based on feedback we will certainly doing at least 1 of these next year.

One the dust settled and sweat dried we had some winners. In the open class Logan O. took the big win with Jamison H., Rock L., Dave N., and Jeff D rounding out the top 5.

For the 41 & over Phillip S., Dave Wenger and Randal K. were the top 3.

Couple of small updates for the brutal match this weekend.

Made some small changes to stage 9, will not be shooting up the power lines. Was concerned that not everyone would be finished with the ruck and part of it's route was in the power lines. Same round count but this does mean there will be no long range shooting.

After crunching numbers on the estimated ruck time, we will now make your ruck score 15% of the actual time. This still makes the ruck a large part of the match, but still allow room for shooters to catch up if they do very well on the rest of the stages.

I have removed everyone from the match that has not paid. Should be a pretty good payout, looking at 3 places in the open and 2 in the 41 over. The 40 & under will be considered an open class and have a higher payouts, if you are in the 41 up group you may choose to run in the open instead of your age class. But you may only complete in one and must let me know when you check in. Made it this way as I had a number of older shooters who wanted to compete with the young dogs.

Check your squads shoot time and be there an hour early to get checked in and staged.

Alright just got back from running (on a quad) the course for the ruck. This is not going to be an easy walk in the park so come prepared it is just under 2 miles but it is not flat and it will test you. Big thanks to Jeff and Tom for clearing a way thru the brush and beating back/clearing most of the prickers. Bring water and some determination you will need both.

The shooting stages will be a little easier but we are hoping to push you thru them quickly so do not expect time to lounge around and relax.

We will be running the RSO's thru on Friday evening.

We have 3 different start times depending on what squad you signed up on. 9am, 1pm and 4pm. I have cleared some of those who have not paid so if you want to change your start time go into practiscore before Thursday and change your squad.

Be at the range 1hr before your start time to stage your gear and get ready.
