Congratulations to Harvard High School varsity track and field member Braden Wittum, who placed 5th in shot put at the IHSA Class 2A state finals May 30th and earned a medal! Teammate Bryan Hernandez placed 11th overall. Wittum and Hernandez were the only teammates from across all 3 class levels to qualify for the event!

Congratulations to Harvard High School varsity boys track and field members Braden Wittum and Bryan Hernandez, who both qualified for the IHSA Class 2A state finals! Wittum placed 1st in shot put and discus and Hernandez placed 3rd in shot put at the IHSA Class 2A sectional meet hosted by Richmond Burton May 20th.

The varsity girls softball team plays Cary-Grove at 4:30 PM at the Prairie Ridge IHSA Class 3A Regional Tournament.

The varsity girls soccer team plays Woodstock North at 7 pm at the Belvedere IHSA Class 2A Regional Tournament.

The Harvard High School varsity boys baseball team defeated Alden-Hebron 12-1 May 15th. For the Hornets, Cole Coffer had a hit, walked 3 times and drove in a run; and Eltan Powles struck out 5 batters over 3 innings pitched.

The Harvard High School varsity girls softball team defeated Alden-Hebron 21-2 May 14th. For the Hornets, Aubri Kus struck out 13 batters over 4 innings to earn the win and Skyler Block had 2 hits and 3 runs batted in.

Congratulations, to Harvard High School varsity girls track and field member Ella Martin, who placed 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles at the IHSA Class 2A sectional meet hosted by Johnburg High School May 13th and has qualified for the IHSA Class 2A State Finals!

The Harvard High School varsity boys track and field team competed in the Kishwaukee River Conference meet May 12th. Braden Wittum set a new Hornets record in the discus with a throw of 53.18 meters to win the event. Wittum also won the shot put and Bryan Hernandez finished second in the shot.

The Harvard High School varsity girls softball team defeated Johnsburg 8-1 on Senior Night May 12th. For the Hornets, Leona Eichholz pitched 5 innings striking out 13 to earn the victory; Kendra Cunningham had 2 hits and 4 runs batted in; Grace Nellessen and Manhattan Brincks each collected 3 hits; and Kara Knop had a solo home run.

The Harvard High School varsity girls soccer team defeated Winnebago 3-1 May 11th. For the Hornets, Julie Silva and Carla Mendoza each scored a goal and Jarithsie Mercado had 5 saves in goal.

The Hornets are 14-5-1 and will play Woodstock North in the IHSA Class 2A regional tournament at 7 pm, May 19th, at Belvedere High School
